Collaboration Meeting Schedule
Week 1: Sunday February 16, 2025 3:00 PM
Kickoff Meeting:
Accepted Artists will have been given the task to visit a local shelter to take personality and story notes as well as reference images and videos of the cats, with a focus on less likely to be adopted cats. Please do this prior to this first meeting so we can use your results for discussion.
Artists meet each other and find their collaborators (if not already paired).
Discuss goals, processes, and initial ideas for the cat portraits and AR experiences.
Collaborators outline a plan for the project, including how to split responsibilities.
The task for next week includes a test for next week.
Week 2: Sunday February 23, 2025 3:00 PM
AR Compatibility Test:
Artists create a small-scale study of the final piece and test it with a simple AR effect in Unity 3D.
Feedback session to ensure the AR functionality works well with the chosen style and background.
Adjustments to the artistic approach or AR effects as needed.
The task for next week includes establishing the outline for their final work.
Week 3: Sunday March 2, 2025 3:00 PM
Production Check-In 1:
Collaborators share progress on the outline for both traditional portraits and AR elements.
Discuss any challenges, refine ideas, and ensure the work is on track for completion.
The task for next week includes filling in the project for a midpoint review next week.
Week 4: Sunday March 9, 2025 3:00 PM
Production Check-In 2:
Midpoint critique and troubleshooting.
Ensure consistency between the physical artwork and AR experience.
Verify that the narrative and personality of the adoptable cat are clear.
The task for next week includes addressing any changes and refining work.
Week 5: Sunday March 16, 2025 3:00 PM
Final Adjustments:
Traditional artists finish the bulk of the portrait.
Digital artists refine AR effects and start final testing with Unity 3D.
Artists ensure all components are coming together cohesively.
Tasks for next week include refinement.
Week 6: Sunday March 23, 2025 3:00 PM
Completion Review:
Both traditional and AR components should be near-finalized.
Group review of works to gather feedback and make final refinements.
Task finish work for submittal.
Week 7: Sunday March 30, 2025 3:00 PM
Submission Week:
All artworks and AR experiences are submitted by March 31.
Final group meeting to celebrate and discuss next steps, including writing short artist statements or preparing for workshops and talks.

Preparation for the exhibit.
Artwork and AR experiences finalized for installation.
Limited-edition prints are created.
Event marketing materials prepared.
Practice talks/workshops. Artists may come in to practice and get feedback on their talks from peers.
May 2025
May 1: Exhibit installation at the gallery.
May 2: Opening reception for artists and the public. 6pm
May 16: Featured in the Lexington Gallery Hop.
Sundays reserved for artist talks and workshops.
June 2025
June 29: Exhibit closes.Artists to deliver auctioned pieces, or retrieve work.
